I have learned that you can’t leave any one out of any thing if you do leave anybody out they won’t want to be your friend. You should be nice to everybody, even new people. You should play with every body.
I use to blow up when something didn’t go my way. But now I learned that it won’t get you anywhere. I admit that I still get angry about it, but I learned things aren’t as fun with a whiny, mean, or naughty person. I’m Reilly14z and I approve this post. (edited by : kara)
I was learning how to hunt all through my life because that’s all my family talked about and I went hunting with them since I could remember. I really started when I was seven I got my first beebee gun because I was always using my dads. Then when I was nine I got a bolt action [...]
A lesson I learned is that every day is a gift not a given right. I learned this from my neighbor Connor. Connor had cancer on and off his whole life. His favorite song was “If Today was your Last Day” by “Nickleback”. He liked this song because in the beginning it talks about [...]
Something I learned outside of school is NEVER fight with Grandma. If you EVER fight with Grandma you will be sure to lose. I’m very stubborn and bullheaded and I always fight with Grandma. Well let me say this, parents gang up with Grandparents, so you’ll never have parents on your side with Grandma around. [...]
In the summer I went to the powder factory. I was going because it was a 4-H dairy trip. Did you know that the factory can still run if power was out they could last at least2 to3 days with no power. The factory was huge and it had the loudest sound in the world. [...]
A lesson I have learned is that you should never be unfriendly to anyone. You would get in trouble and you would hurt that person’s feelings. You should give them a smile and say hello. That’s the way to be a friendly person.
One day my mom asked me to clean my room. I didn’t feel like it so I didn’t clean it. Turns out my mom told me to clean my room for a reason: I was having a surpise birthday party with all my friends. When the time came for the party my room was [...]
Something I’ve learned outside of school is to respect your elders in that you will find your self in less trouble. edited by Kara
A meager lesson learned was when I was spear fishing on Townline Lake. It was a perfect day for fishing. The wind was low and the sun was going down. All of a sudden a enormous pike came to feed on the bait! I pulled the spear back and I fired to then realize that [...]
Something I’ve learned outside of school is your suppose to ride your bike with both hands on the handle bars. If you don’t listen to this advice you might fall and break your leg. Once I was ridding my bike and my tire slipped and I fell into a pole. I had to go to the hospital and [...]
At Sherman Lake, I have learned how to kayak. Kayaking is a sport for people who don’t mind sitting on a wet seat. Since it was raining, we had to kayak in the swimming pool. A kayak is like a canoe, but is shorter and longer. In a kayak, if you are an individual, you will [...]
One of the things I learned outside of school is use my assignment planner and not to rush through my homework so I can play. If I where to rush through my homework than I wouldn’t think as hard, and I would get a bad grade. If I don’t write things down in my planner, than [...]
It’s always hard to give up your money or toys to someone else, but it’s the right thing to do. There are millions of people who don’t have what we have, so being generous is important. My mom always gives our old clothes to charities. Anything that is in good shape goes to Good Will. [...]
Sports have been such a help in my life. They have taught me not to give up when something gets hard. In sports, when something gets hard I don’t quit I just try to come back harder and better than my opponent. Also, they teach you that you have to practice a lot at something if you want [...]
One lesson that I learned outside of school was patience. My Grandpa and Grandma live about 2 hours away, and we are always taking car rides up there. Sometimes, it can take 3 hours if we eat or stop at a rest stop. When I was little, I always dreaded the long rides because you [...]
In my opinion, I believe that basketball actually has some important life lessons, metaphorically of course. One thing that I believe basketball can teach you is that there are some things in life that you can’t do by yourself. I believe that you must work as a team and cooperate, like in basketball, or [...]
The first I ever learned to hunt was when I was five years old. I was home alone with my dad and the phone rang I picked up the phone and it was my Dad’s friend Jeff. He asked if my dad could go hunting. He said, “yes” and asked Jeff if he could bring [...]
When I was in seconed grade my mom went to sign me up at Heather’s Dance Studio after I had been begging her for months to let me join dance. The first dance I ever did was ballet, even though I hated ballet. The first time I danced in frount of people was a lot of fun, [...]
I v’e learned that you should never go anywhere with anyone you don’t know. If you do the person might hurt you or you the person might make you do something you know you are not supposed to do.
